Pale birch-faced plywood panels with clear satin-finished wood grain and layered cut edges
Prefinished plywood with clear-coated birch faces

Choose the veneer appearance and sheen for the faces your customers see. Specify one or two finished sides, core and overall thickness, then coordinate cut edges, edging and joints with the way your furniture is made.

Move face finishing out of your workshop.
KEEP THE WOOD LOOK COMPLETE THE FACE FINISH

Choose prefinished faces around the furniture you make.

Start with the appearance and surfaces your customer sees. Select the veneer and finish, then match the reverse, core and processing to your workshop and assembly. We bring those choices into one factory order.

Prefinished birch plywood

Bring pale birch grain into cabinet interiors, drawers and furniture without applying the face finish in your workshop. Choose the birch veneer appearance, clear coating and sheen, then specify the inner veneers and reverse separately.

For your enquiry: Birch face grade and colour, coating and sheen, one or two finished faces, core, finished thickness and quantities.

Factory-finished hardwood faces

Choose the wood character and finish for your visible components. A clear finish shows the veneer underneath; a specified colour finish changes its appearance. Agree the species, veneer cut, matching and coating together for your furniture range.

For your enquiry: Hardwood species, veneer cut and matching, clear or colour finish, sheen, reverse and repeat-order appearance requirements.

Sheets and processed components

Keep sheet cutting in your shop or order the sizes, grooves and holes for your assembly. Coordinate finishing with the machining sequence, edging, joint surfaces and part labels so your production team knows what remains to be done.

For your enquiry: Part drawing, finished dimensions, tolerances, holes, grooves, edging, glue joints, quantities and packing sequence.

THE SURFACE YOUR CUSTOMER WILL USE

Choose real wood grain, printed decor or laminate for the job.

A finish decision changes appearance, fabrication and care. Compare the selected surface and complete panel against the part you make—not only a shared plywood thickness.

Prefinished or unfinished birch?

Choose prefinished birch when you want the selected face coating completed before fabrication. Choose unfinished birch when your workshop needs to stain, paint or apply its own finishing system. In either case, specify face quality and core construction for the parts you make.

Compare Birch Plywood

Natural veneer or melamine decor?

Clear-coated veneer retains real wood grain and its natural variation. Melamine-faced plywood uses a resin-treated decorative paper surface. Choose between the wood appearance and printed decor your project needs, with reverse and edges included.

Compare Melamine Plywood

Clear coating or an HPL surface?

A clear finish coats the wood veneer. HPL plywood has a separately manufactured laminate sheet bonded to its substrate. For work surfaces, retail fixtures or fitted furniture, compare the specified finish, wear and cleaning requirements alongside the core and edging.

Compare HPL Plywood

Keep your next order visually consistent.

Use a physical finish reference to agree colour, sheen, veneer matching and acceptable variation. Record the visible faces and lighting conditions so the workshop and purchasing team compare the same finish across parts and repeat orders.

FROM CABINET INTERIORS TO VISIBLE FURNITURE

Finish the surfaces that matter in your build.

Tell us where the panel sits, which sides are visible and how it joins the other parts. We help align the finish, core and processing with the furniture your customers will see and use.

Cabinet interiors and wardrobes

Put the finished face where it will be seen when a door opens. Coordinate the interior finish with the outside face, reverse and exposed edges, then include shelf supports, hinges and fixing details in the cut list.

For your enquiry: Visible sides, interior finish, reverse, edging, hardware positions and quantities by component.

Drawer boxes and furniture parts

Match the face finish and core to the joint you use. Routing, grooves and exposed cut edges are handled with the assembly in mind; adhesive contact areas need their own preparation rather than an assumption that glue will bond to the coating.

For your enquiry: Joint type, grooves, glue contact areas, exposed edges, finished thickness and fitting tolerances.

Shelving and display furniture

Specify two finished faces for shelves or dividers visible from both sides. Match sheen, colour and veneer direction across adjoining pieces, with span, supports and fixings selected for the finished furniture.

For your enquiry: Visible faces, face matching, grain direction, spans, loads, supports, finished dimensions and edging.

Interior fit-out and repeat components

Make repeat orders easier to assemble with a recorded finish, part list and pack sequence. Include cleaning and interior service conditions, along with any project fire or emission requirements for the complete panel and installation.

For your enquiry: Part schedule, finish reference, cleaning and service conditions, labels, packing and destination requirements.

LESS FACE FINISHING A CLEARER ASSEMBLY PLAN

Bring the finished face and your workshop process together.

Prefinishing can remove the selected face-coating step from your shop. Plan the cuts, joints and exposed edges that follow, then decide which operations stay in your workshop and which we complete with your panel order.

Choose which sides are finished

UV1S commonly means one UV-finished face; UV2S means both faces. Name the finish and veneer on each side in the order, including the reverse treatment and panel balance. Agree flatness and conditioning for your part sizes.

Plan cuts, joints and finished edges

Protect coated faces during cutting and drilling. State the tooling and finished-edge quality you need, then choose edging or coating for exposed cuts. Trial the actual glue and joint on the selected surface before committing to an assembly process.

Keep appearance and care repeatable

Agree colour, sheen, grain matching and acceptable natural veneer variation under the lighting used for your project. Specify relevant wear, stain and cleaning requirements, with compatible care information for the offered coating.

Keep your cabinet components together.

Mark the visible face, grain direction and reference edge on each part drawing, including any glue-contact areas that need to remain uncoated. Group adjoining panels and list left- and right-hand parts separately. Agree part codes, drawing revisions and packing sequence, then check the finish, labels, dimensions and edge quality on receipt. Keep finished faces separated and protected during storage and handling.

FINISH CORE AND FIT IN ONE SPECIFICATION

Define the finished panel your workshop needs.

Start with your face appearance, finish, thickness, dimensions and quantities. Add the reverse, machining and edging so the quotation covers the part you want to buy.

BUYER QUESTIONS

Clear finishes, birch faces and furniture production

Questions before you order prefinished plywood.

What is prefinished plywood?

It is plywood supplied with its selected face finish already applied. For clear-coated veneer, the natural wood grain remains visible. Choose the face, coating, finished sides and core for your application, then agree what cutting, machining and edging will be completed before delivery.

What does UV coated plywood mean?

UV describes curing the coating with ultraviolet light. It is not a timber species or a general promise of sunlight resistance, waterproofing or zero emissions. Specify the actual coating system, sheen, finished sides and relevant surface tests with the plywood construction.

Is prefinished birch plywood always all-birch?

No. Birch can name the face veneer while the inner veneers are all-birch, poplar, combi or another specified construction. State the face and core separately. Match core quality, finished thickness and gaps or repairs to your machining, joints and hardware.

How do I order 3/4-inch prefinished birch plywood?

Send the required finished thickness and tolerance with your face, finish and core requirements. The exact conversion of 3/4 inch is 19.05 mm; nominal trade labels and actual panel thickness can differ. We agree the supplied finished thickness in the quotation, rather than treating 18 mm as automatically equivalent.

Should I choose a one-side or two-side finish?

Choose finished faces according to what the customer will see and use. One finished face can suit a component with a concealed reverse; two finished faces can suit shelves, dividers or exposed furniture parts. Specify the reverse treatment, balance and flatness in either arrangement.

Can I choose a matte, satin or different wood finish?

Yes. Tell us the veneer species, colour, sheen and matching requirements for your furniture or interior range. Use a physical finish reference where appearance matters, with lighting and any gloss measurement conditions agreed for comparisons. Natural veneer variation remains part of the appearance specification.

Does prefinishing remove all workshop finishing?

It can move the selected face coating out of your workshop. Cut edges, routed details, adhesive contact areas, banding and touch-up still need a plan. Include these in your factory part order or identify the work your shop will complete after cutting the sheets.

Can I glue or recoat a UV-finished face?

Check compatibility with the supplied coating and your adhesive or new finish. A cured face may need different preparation from raw veneer. Trial the actual joint or recoat method on the selected product, then specify exposed edges and glue contact areas in your machining instructions.

Is clear-coated plywood the same as melamine or HPL plywood?

No. A clear coating finishes the real wood veneer. Melamine faces use resin-treated decorative paper, while HPL uses a separately made laminate sheet bonded to a substrate. Compare the appearance, coating or overlay, cleaning, machining, core and edging required for your use.

Which sizes and machined parts can I order?

Use Sheet sizes for regular and made-to-order formats, or send your component list. State finished thickness, length, width, tolerance and grain direction, with holes, grooves, edging and quantities. We quote the panel, finishing and agreed processing together.

How do I keep grain direction and finish matching across a cabinet set?

Mark the visible face, grain direction and reference edge on the part drawings. Group adjoining panels and identify left- and right-hand parts, with the finish reference and permitted natural veneer variation recorded for the order. We agree part codes, drawing revisions, labels and pack sequence so your workshop can keep matched components together.

How should I compare prefinished and unfinished plywood costs?

Compare the same face veneer, core, finished thickness and usable part quantities. Include your coating materials, preparation, finishing time, handling and any work needed on cut edges or joints in the unfinished-panel option. For a factory-finished order, list the coating, machining, edging, protection and delivery costs included in our quote, then compare the cost of parts ready for your assembly.

Where is CUZI PLY’s prefinished plywood made?

CUZI PLY is the factory and direct supplier in Linyi, Shandong, China, with 10 production lines across our plywood range. Work directly with our team on veneer selection, core construction, finishing, processing, inspection and export packing. Manufacturing location and timber sourcing are identified separately where required.

How do I request a quote or a finish sample?

Send the component use, face and core, finish, finished sides, thickness, dimensions, quantity, machining and destination. For a sample, identify the appearance, sheen, cut edge or joint you want to evaluate. We agree the pieces, any sample and courier costs and dispatch arrangements before sending them.
