QUICK TECHNICAL ANSWERS

Start with the specification fields that change the plywood.

These reference points help buyers prepare a complete enquiry before comparing prices.

01

What size and thickness range can CUZI PLY discuss?

The main production range is 3–30 mm. Common formats include 1220×2440, 1200×2400 and 1250×2500 mm; selected constructions can also be evaluated in 1525×3050, 1220×2800, 1220×3660, 1220×3800 and 1220×4200 mm.

For the RFQState finished size, thickness, tolerance, quantity and panel construction so line and packing feasibility can be checked together.
02

What moisture content should an export plywood specification state?

An 8–12% panel moisture range is commonly specified for many dry export constructions. The agreed range should match the species, thickness, manufacturing condition, destination climate and measurement method.

For the RFQAdd the moisture range and measurement point to the quotation, approved sample and pre-shipment inspection plan.
03

What makes two plywood quotations technically comparable?

Compare the same face and back grade, core species and lay-up, bond and emission requirement, surface, finished dimensions, tolerance, moisture, workmanship limits, documents and packing basis.

For the RFQSend these fields in one RFQ and identify any item where CUZI PLY should recommend a suitable option.

TECHNICAL FAQ

Direct answers for common plywood specification questions.

DECISION QUESTIONS

Before the purchase order

Choose the right specification.

What technical details should every plywood RFQ include?

State the end use, face and back, core species and lay-up, bond and emission requirement, surface, finished size, thickness, tolerance, moisture range, machining, quantity, packing, destination and requested documents.

What moisture content can be specified for plywood?

An 8–12% range is commonly used for many dry export constructions. Confirm the agreed range, conditioning and measurement method for the selected species, thickness and destination climate.

Which plywood sizes can CUZI PLY produce?

The principal formats include 1220×2440, 1200×2400 and 1250×2500 mm. Depending on construction and quantity, 1525×3050, 1220×2800, 1220×3660, 1220×3800 and 1220×4200 mm can also be evaluated. Thickness production mainly covers 3–30 mm.

How should film faced plywood be specified for formwork?

State the film type and weight, surface wear or release requirement, face condition, core species and gaps, exterior bond, thickness tolerance, sealed edges, panel size, concrete finish, site handling and expected reuse conditions.

How should HPL or melamine plywood be specified?

Name the decor or laminate reference, texture, sheen, grade and thickness together with the plywood substrate, balancing back, adhesive, finished thickness, flatness, edge banding and fabrication details.

How should marine plywood be specified for wet service?

State the face and back veneer, core species and void limits, lay-up, exterior bond test, moisture range, dimensions and edge quality. Add coating, sealed cuts and holes, drainage, ventilation, fasteners and maintenance for the finished component.

How should fire-retardant plywood be specified?

Define the base plywood, treatment or treated-veneer process, finished thickness and moisture, intended application, test method, classification, mounting and end-use conditions, plus the report or project documents required.

What is the difference between a test report and a certificate?

A test report records a tested specimen, method and result. A certificate identifies the organisation, product or sourcing scope covered by a certification programme and its period of validity.

When should a buyer approve a plywood sample?

Approve a sample before production when face grade, colour, grain, film, laminate, machining, edge appearance or finishing quality is commercially important. Record the sample identification in the order and inspection instructions.

What should be confirmed for export packing?

Confirm sheet and bundle dimensions, quantity per pack, gross weight, supports, wrap, top and side protection, corner protectors under the steel straps, pack marks, fork access, container type, loading pattern and destination moisture conditions.

TECHNICAL RFQ

USING TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS

Match technical documents to the selected plywood.

Technical documents work best when the product description, tested construction and requested performance are the same. Name the document title, standard or test method, edition, product construction and destination requirement in the RFQ.

DOCUMENTS FOR THE ORDER

Confirm the document set before production.

For a specific order, request the applicable technical data sheet, test report, certificate, approved sample record, inspection report and shipment documents. CUZI PLY will confirm which items are available for the selected construction before production.
