Pine plywood panels with golden grain, small knots and layered cut edges
Pine plywood for wood finishes and cut parts

Select grain, knots and face repairs around the surfaces your customers will see. Include sanding, exposed edges and grain direction in the order for your finished parts.

Choose a pine face for the finish you make.
CHOOSE WHAT IS OUTSIDE AND INSIDE

Pine appearance. A core chosen for your part.

A natural pine surface and the inner veneer arrangement serve different purposes. Choose the face for your finish, then set the core, layer arrangement, bond and finished dimensions around how you cut, join and handle the panel.

Pine face, selected core

Keep the pine appearance on the sides that will be seen. Specify the inner veneers around cut edges, weight, hardware and machining, and use a different back-face requirement where it will be covered.

For your enquiry: Visible sides, pine species, inner species or mix, permitted face repairs and intended finish.

Pine veneers throughout

Order the named pine species in the outer and inner layers. Agree the layer arrangement, face and back grades, bond and finished thickness as a complete board for your component.

For your enquiry: Species in every layer, ply count, veneer arrangement, edge requirements and service conditions.

Pine core, another face

Choose pine inner veneers beneath a different decorative face. The outer veneer and its finish determine the appearance; name the pine core separately when comparing the complete panel.

For your enquiry: Decorative face and back, pine inner veneers, balancing, machining and finished thickness.

NAME THE MATERIAL YOU NEED

Radiata, southern yellow or hoop pine?

Choose the named veneer material, not just a similar-looking face. Tell us which layers must use it and any source requirements. We set out the species and complete construction with your quotation.

Radiata pine plywood

Select radiata pine veneers for the face, core or both. For a natural wood finish, compare grain, colour, knots and repairs across the visible parts; for paint or covered parts, choose the appearance allowance around the finished result.

For your enquiry: Radiata pine in the specified layers, face/back grade, visible finish, layer arrangement and required timber-origin information.

Southern yellow pine plywood

Southern yellow pine is a group name, so identify the species or agreed mix in the veneers. Compare face quality, core arrangement and the finished component on the same dimensions and conditions; a species-group name is not a structural rating.

For your enquiry: Species or mix, which layers it covers, grading system, bond, machining and any structural product documents your project names.

Hoop pine plywood

Hoop pine is an Araucaria timber, a separate material choice from radiata pine. Specify hoop pine in the face or throughout, then agree the grain, repair allowances, core and sanding for visible furniture or interior work.

For your enquiry: Hoop pine in the specified layers, visible sides, finish, inner construction, finished thickness and sourcing requirements.

THE SURFACE YOUR CUSTOMER SEES

Buy for the finished appearance, not the unfinished sheet.

The right face allowance depends on what will be visible after finishing. Compare an actual coated or assembled part, including knots, repairs, edges and the back where it remains in view.

Natural wood & clear finishes

Choose the grain and colour you want to retain. Agree knot and repair allowances, the appearance of adjoining parts and both sides of doors or open shelving. Compare the finish on the actual face, including repaired areas.

Painted furniture & linings

Select the face preparation around primer and topcoat. Evaluate knots, patches, joint lines, routed edges and hole exits after coating, and specify the back and edge finish where they remain exposed.

Covered parts & utility panels

Put cutting yield, fixing positions and handling before a premium visible face when the panel will be covered. Agree permitted repairs, sanding, edges and the bond for the component’s environment.

Make repeat parts easier to order

Send your part list, grain direction, cutting layout, reference edges, holes and hardware. Agree the finished thickness, edge quality and joint fit with the board and finish. Include part quantities and pack labels so your team can identify the pieces when they arrive. We quote the board and requested processing together, with the agreed requirements carried into repeat orders.

SELECT FOR THE JOB

From a visible cabinet side to a working crate.

Spend on the surface, core and processing your component needs. Start with what remains visible, how parts are fixed and where they will be used; we help complete the panel specification around those priorities.

Furniture with a visible pine face

Choose the grain, colour and repairs for doors, shelving and visible cabinet sides. Keep adjoining parts and exposed edges in view when choosing the face and core; a covered back can use a different appearance requirement.

For your enquiry: Visible sides, clear finish or stain, part dimensions, grain direction, edge treatment, joints, hardware and support.

Choose panels for your furniture

Painted interiors & components

Select sanding and face preparation for linings, partitions and painted furniture parts. Compare the coated face and routed edges, and agree the finished thickness around joints, fittings and any facing added later.

For your enquiry: Paint system, knots and repair allowances, edge finish, profiles, holes, finished thickness and assembly tolerances.

Compare furniture-grade requirements

Crates & reusable cases

For covered or utility parts, compare cut-part yield, panel weight and the fixing layout before paying for a premium face. Select construction and bond around handling, the cargo, reuse and the journey.

For your enquiry: Case design, cargo, cut layout, lifting and stacking, screws or nails, exposure, reuse, quantities and destination.

Select panels for cases and crates

Specified construction work

For roof, wall or floor sheathing, choose the structural product and declared properties your project needs. Exterior siding, treated components and concrete forms have their own surface, bond and protection requirements.

For your enquiry: Project use, named product standard, required properties, support, panel direction, fixings and exposure.

BUYER QUESTIONS

Pine materials, finishes and orders

Questions before you order pine plywood.

What does pine plywood mean?

It describes plywood containing pine veneers, but the name alone does not tell you every layer. Specify pine-faced plywood, pine throughout or a pine core beneath another face. Our quotation identifies the species, face and back, inner construction, bond and finished dimensions you order.

Can I buy radiata pine plywood?

Yes. Tell us whether radiata pine is needed in the outer veneers, the core or throughout. For visible furniture and interior panels, agree grain, colour, knots, repairs and the finish; for covered parts, compare the construction, machining and quantity. Timber origin is stated separately from our China factory location.

Is southern yellow pine one species?

No. Southern yellow pine is a group name. Name the species or agreed mix and the layers where it is required. For a structural project, include the applicable panel standard and declared properties; neither the group name nor face appearance supplies those design values.

Is hoop pine the same as radiata pine?

No. Hoop pine is an Araucaria timber, while radiata pine is a Pinus timber. Order the material you need by name, including its use in the face and core. Agree the finished appearance, layer arrangement, bond and product documents for the chosen construction.

Will a pine face mean the core is pine too?

Only if that construction is specified. A pine face can be used over other inner veneers, and a pine core can be covered by another decorative face. Compare both outer veneers and the core, particularly where cut edges, routed profiles, hardware and component weight matter.

Can pine plywood be used for furniture or interior panels?

Yes. Choose the surface around what remains visible: a natural wood finish, painted part or covered panel. Provide the component dimensions, support, joints and hardware. Agree face repairs, sanding, flatness and finished thickness around that use; compare the actual finished part before a repeat order.

How should I specify knots and repairs?

State the grading system and what each side may show. Agree knot and patch appearance, open defects, repairs, colour and grain with the intended finish. A visible front and a covered back can have different requirements. Keep the finished appearance and written requirements together for later orders.

Can I order sheets or machined pine parts?

Yes. See Sheet sizes for regular and made-to-order formats. For parts, provide dimensions, quantity, reference edges, grain direction, holes, profiles and tolerances. We agree the board and requested processing together, including cut-edge quality, fit, protection and identification.

Can pine plywood be used outdoors or structurally?

Select the product for the actual use. For outdoor parts, agree bond, coatings, protected cuts and holes, joints and exposure. For sheathing or load-bearing work, include the required structural product, properties, supports and fixing details. Use our Structural, Pressure-Treated or siding ranges for those specific purchasing requirements.

Where is your pine plywood manufactured?

CUZI PLY manufactures in Linyi, Shandong, China, with 10 production lines across our plywood range. We supply your named face and core construction directly from our factory. Pine names and veneer-origin requirements are recorded separately from the place of panel manufacture.

What affects pine plywood prices and lead time?

Face selection, pine species, inner veneers, finished thickness, sheet format, bond, processing, quantity and packing affect the offer. Compare the cost of usable finished parts as well as the sheet price: cutting yield, sanding, machining, face selection and packing all matter. Our quote states currency, price unit, order mix, production schedule and delivery terms; shipping transit and destination charges are separate unless included.

How do I order 4 × 8 ft pine plywood to fit my cutting plan?

Tell us whether your drawing uses an exact imperial dimension or a nominal sheet format. An exact 4 × 8 ft sheet converts to 1219.2 × 2438.4 mm; agree the finished millimetre dimensions, thickness and tolerance in the order. Include trimming, grain direction and part quantities so the chosen format works with your cutting plan.

Can you help me choose the pine species and core?

Yes. Start with what you make, the visible finish, finished dimensions, quantity and delivery destination. Our factory team can propose a face and core construction around those needs. If you are matching an existing item, describe its grain, knots, repairs, cut edges and finish so we can agree the important features before production.

Can I request a pine plywood sample?

Yes. Use Request a Sample and name the species, face/core construction, thickness and finish you want to evaluate. Include the delivery country and intended component so we can agree suitable pieces, any sample and courier costs, and dispatch arrangements before sending them.
