Okoume-faced poplar core
Okoume face and back. Furniture, interiors and fit-out where component weight is a purchasing priority.
Compare actual sheet mass, face finish, supported spans, joints and hardware for the finished assembly.
Bring warm okoume faces to furniture, cabinetry and interior joinery with plywood made by CUZI PLY. Choose okoume face and back over a poplar or eucalyptus core, or an all-okoume construction. Our factory helps match the panel, machining and finish to your component and prepares a quotation for your quantity and destination.

Select face colour and grain for the finish your customer will see. Specify the core separately, with thickness, cut-edge quality and machining matched to your furniture or joinery.
Okoume is also traded as Gaboon. When buying Gaboon plywood or okoume-faced plywood, specify both the outer veneers and the inner core. CUZI PLY manufactures the three constructions below; choose the face/back grades, finished thickness, bond and processing around your component.
Okoume face and back. Furniture, interiors and fit-out where component weight is a purchasing priority.
Compare actual sheet mass, face finish, supported spans, joints and hardware for the finished assembly.
Okoume face and back. Furniture and joinery requiring an okoume finish with a selected eucalyptus construction.
Agree the veneer arrangement, density or sheet mass, cut edge, machining and fixing requirements.
Okoume face and back. Joinery and components where okoume throughout is specified, with the bond and grade selected for the use.
Define face/back grade, veneer schedule, gaps and repairs, finished thickness and any project-document requirements.
A clear-finished panel, a painted door and a protected boat-interior part have different priorities. Start with the visible faces, cut edges, joints and service conditions.
Choose the visible veneer and core for cabinet sides, doors, shelving and other parts. Include the supports, hardware, finish and complete component weight in the brief.
For your enquiry: Send the part list, visible faces, grain direction, hinge or fixing positions, supported spans and intended finish.
Agree the natural face colour and repair allowance for clear finishes, or the preparation needed for paint and laminate. Plan covered and exposed edges separately.
For your enquiry: Send the finished profiles, paired-part appearance, exposed edges, face repairs you can accept, installation environment and coating or facing.
For boat interiors, wet-service joinery or outdoor parts, specify the complete panel, bond, product documents and protection. Use our Marine range when your project names a marine product standard.
For your enquiry: Send the component use, named product standard, moisture exposure, supported spans, fixings and protection of faces, edges, cut-outs and holes.
Send the requirements you know. We help complete the panel specification so the face, core, dimensions, machining and order conditions can be compared on one basis.
| Field | Available options and order details |
|---|---|
| Face and back | Okoume veneer; specify each visible side, grade, colour range and permitted repairs. |
| Inner construction | Poplar core, eucalyptus core or okoume throughout, with the veneer arrangement stated in the offer. |
| Veneer arrangement | Agree the layer count, veneer thicknesses and permitted core gaps or repairs for the selected construction. Match these to exposed edges, machining, joints and hardware. |
| Finished thickness | Specify your required finished thickness and quantity. The quote confirms the veneer schedule, sanding and tolerance for that construction. |
| Surface and edges | Agree sanding, face preparation, edge appearance, any profiles and the paint, clear coat, veneer or laminate you will apply. |
| Dimensions and flatness | Choose the sheet or finished-part format, trimming allowance, dimensional tolerances and flatness needed for your processing. |
| Face grain & cutting layout | Mark grain direction, visible sides, matching parts and reference edges on the part list. Include trimming and machining allowances so the cutting layout follows the finished component. |
| Moisture & conditioning | Agree the moisture condition and measurement method. Plan supported storage and conditioning before machining and finishing for the intended workshop and service environment. |
| Density & sheet mass | Request density or sheet-mass information for the selected construction and dimensions. Compare weight at the same size, finished thickness and moisture condition; add hardware and finishes when estimating a complete component. |
| Bond performance | Select the bond for the intended exposure, processing and use. Identify the applicable panel and bond information in the offer; the species name alone does not select a bond class. |
| Indoor emissions | State the destination, indoor use and required emission method or limit. Match the report to the supplied panel construction and consider the adhesive, facing or coating added to the finished component. |
| Factory processing | Discuss cutting, calibration, CNC machining, hole positions, edge preparation and finishing with the component drawing. |
| Packing & identification | Agree face and edge protection, flat support, pack dimensions and unloading. Identify construction, size, thickness, quantity and any cut-part references on the packing list and labels. |
| Order and delivery | Quote by construction, size/thickness mix, quantity, packing and delivery terms, with sample arrangements and production timing stated. |
Decide which faces and edges remain visible. Then select the appearance, preparation and core that fit your component, rather than paying for the same face quality on every covered side.
Choose natural colour, grain and permitted repairs for the visible side. Compare adjoining parts under the intended coating and agree the back face separately, especially where both sides will be seen.
Choose face preparation, sanding and repair allowances around the paint you will use. Check joints, routed profiles and covered or exposed edges after priming and finishing a part.
Set the substrate thickness, flatness, face preparation and visible-edge treatment with the applied surface. Include the adhesive and balancing arrangement; allow for the finished thickness when setting joints and hardware.
For a clear finish, compare the natural colour and grain, face repairs and appearance under the coating you will use. For paint or laminate, agree sanding, flatness, face preparation and edge coverage around the complete finish system.
Provide the cutting layout, routed profiles, hole positions, hardware and reference edges for repeat parts. Include the drawing version, paired-part grain direction and part labels so the same requirements follow cutting, machining and packing.
If the part will be laser-cut, agree a trial with the selected plywood and your machine settings. For curved components, compare our Flexible Plywood rather than assuming every flat okoume panel has the same bending behaviour.
Send the sheet or finished-part dimensions, thickness and quantity. We quote the selected construction with the veneer arrangement, sanding, tolerances and export-packing plan.
Choose the format around usable parts, trimming allowance, face-grain direction and handling—not only the largest sheet. Ask for the density or sheet-mass reference for your construction when weight matters.
Review sizes and finished-thickness guidanceCUZI PLY manufactures your plywood. Price depends on the face selection, core, finished thickness, sheet format, bond, processing and order quantity. Compare the same usable-part quality, packing and delivery terms rather than a generic okoume price.
Tell us your size/thickness mix, quantity and destination. We confirm the order quantity, any mixed construction, sample arrangements, production timing, payment and delivery terms in the quotation.
For a sample, name the construction and finish you want to evaluate. We agree piece sizes, any sample and courier costs before sending it. Use the intended machining and finish to compare the part you plan to make.
Ask our team to confirm minimum quantities and size/thickness mix, the processing included, currency and price unit, sample arrangements, packing and payment. Production timing is separate from shipping transit. Your quotation states the named port or delivery point, delivery term and validity; freight and destination charges are included only when stated.
For interior parts, define the bond and destination emission requirements. For marine, exterior or load-carrying work, share the named standard, properties and protection system your project needs. Okoume is a wood species; it does not by itself establish marine grade, structural performance or a permanently waterproof assembly.
We identify the applicable certificates, test reports and product information with the offered construction. Custom sheet dimensions are a manufacturing choice. Product reports cover the construction, properties, intended use and conditions described in them; a changed length or width is not, by itself, a new product category.
Use bond information for the service exposure and the applicable emission method for indoor use and destination. Include coatings or applied surfaces when describing the finished component.
Match the product and required properties to the named report. State any timber-origin or sourcing requirement; our China manufacturing location and the wood’s source country are separate details.
Use the complete panel construction, bond and project documents to select for marine or wet-service work. Coating, sealed cuts and holes, fixing and support belong to the completed component design.
Match construction, dimensions, thickness and quantities to the packing list and labels. Agree face and edge protection, flat support, handling and cut-part identification before shipment.
Okoume faces, cores and orders
Okoume-faced plywood has okoume outer veneers over the specified core. CUZI PLY offers poplar and eucalyptus cores. All-okoume uses okoume for the face, back and inner veneers. Specify the complete construction: similar faces do not establish the same weight, cut edge or component performance.
Yes. CUZI PLY is the factory and direct supplier in Linyi, Shandong, China. We operate 10 production lines across our plywood range. Our team works with you on the panel construction and coordinates cutting, machining, inspection and export packing for your order.
Gaboon is another trade name for okoume. A Gaboon plywood order should still state whether you need okoume outer veneers over a poplar or eucalyptus core, or okoume throughout. For Gaboon marine plywood, send the named marine standard, component use, face/back grade, core and bond requirements. We identify the suitable construction and available product documents with the quotation. Include the coating, sealed edges and cut-outs required by your component design.
See Sheet sizes for our regular and made-to-order formats. Send your required finished thickness, sheet or part dimensions and quantity. We confirm the construction, veneer schedule, tolerance and packing in the offer. Include face-grain direction and any trimming or machining allowance for finished parts.
No. Okoume describes the wood species, not a complete marine product or permanently waterproof finished assembly. If the project requires marine plywood, state the relevant standard, veneers, core, bond and product-document requirements. The component also needs compatible coating, sealed cuts and holes, and the protection required by its service conditions.
Start with the visible finish, component weight, supported spans, joints, cut edge and machining. Compare the actual construction on your part rather than choosing only by species name. Our factory can quote the options with the same dimensions, quantity, processing and delivery basis so you can make a useful comparison.
Yes, with the face selection and preparation suited to the finish. For clear finishing, agree natural colour, grain and face repairs using the intended coating. For paint or laminate, focus on surface preparation, sanding, flatness, edges and compatibility with the complete finishing system.
Discuss the part dimensions, routed profiles, hole positions, reference edges and hardware with our factory team. Agree finished thickness, flatness and fit with the drawing. For laser cutting, use a trial with the actual construction, bond, thickness and machine settings rather than assuming every okoume panel cuts identically.
Share the intended use, destination and any required bond, emission, sourcing or product standards. We confirm the applicable certificates, test reports and product information with the selected construction and order. A custom length or width is a manufacturing choice, not by itself a new product category. Product reports cover the construction, properties, use and conditions described in them.
Use Request a Sample for the construction, thickness and finish you want to assess; we confirm piece sizes, availability, costs and courier arrangements. For a quote, include quantity, size/thickness mix, machining, packing, destination and target date. We set out the specification, order quantity, price basis, production timing and delivery terms in the offer.
Compare actual sheet mass or density for the same sheet size, finished thickness and moisture condition. The face species does not establish the weight of the whole panel. For a cabinet, door or boat-interior part, include cut-outs, hardware, applied surfaces and the complete assembly rather than using the panel value alone.
CUZI PLY manufactures the panels at our factory in Linyi, China. Manufacturing location and the origin of the wood are separate details. If you need timber-origin information or a sourcing claim, state it with your order so our team can identify the applicable material and transaction documents.
Confirm the offered construction, usable dimensions, finished thickness, quantity mix, processing, currency and price unit. The quotation sets out minimum quantities, sample and courier costs, payment, packing, the named delivery point, delivery term and validity. Production timing is separate from shipping transit; freight, insurance, duties and taxes are included only when stated.
